Looking for Strickland Family Bible, supposedly last in possession of someone in Northern Indiana. Bible contains information on Sophrona Lutheria Strickland and her husband Hiram Collins, possibly other Strickland ancestors William, Eli, and James Strickland. Sophrona & Hiram lived in Cass Co. I am in the final stages of a 150-page book about the family of John Wesley “J.W.” and Elizabeth Jane “Eliza” (LAING) LEONARD. They lived at 57900 South Beech Road, Osceola, and in St. Joseph County from 1848 to 1908. J.W. & Eliza had 12 children: Rachel, William, Robert G., Ezra, John, Edward, Frances, Zenas, Alma, Ira, Sarah and Schuyler, along with foster sons, Harrison and George Moran. Some of the grandchildren include Rachel Mae DUCKWALL-BARNES, Ruth ERNSBERGER, Mrs. Carl REMMEL, Mrs. Herbert KILMER, Mrs. Edmon SEITZ, Mrs. Claude ZELLER, Mrs. Charles PARRETT, the Edward Pulaski LEONARD family of Montrose, Colo., and the John Summerville LEONARD family that settled in Missouri. I am especially looking for pictures of this family and its descendants. I am also interested in J.W.’s half sister Sarah FORCE who is the daughter of Anna (Yoder) Leonard & Edwin Force.
